Times are difficult for a lot of people at the moment and with inflation over 9% there are people struggling to make ends meet.
Energy prices are soaring and filling the average car up with fuel now exceeds £100. As a result of this, people are really reducing their outgoings in order to not overspend, and others are taking on more work. Self-employed part-time roles on top of someone’s full time job is a massive commitment but it is something that can be both fun and rewarding. Depending on the amount of hours someone has available, they could manage to earn themselves a lot of extra cash doing something they enjoy.
Here are some of those suggestions relating to health and fitness...
Become a Personal Trainer
If you are already someone that is very much into their personal training and fitness regime, then why not consider becoming a personal trainer? This is something that can be completed on a part time basis but also something that pays pretty well. Personal trainers will normally determine their own rates of pay unless they affiliate with a gym that determines this on their behalf. The rates are usually an “hourly rate” for the services they provide. To become a dedicated personal trainer, it is not all about knowing health and fitness and giving advice; there is formal qualification and courses around this to ensure a recognisable industry standard. The personal trainer course is something that has an initial offset cost but the claw back on this is really excellent value for money. When clients are looking to get advice and support on their health and fitness, it is really important to them that the personal giving this support is properly qualified to do so and therefore this builds a lot of trust. With the more trust the client has, the more likely they are to use the same trainer repeatedly. Some clients will even book the same personal trainer for several times in a week.
Run Outdoor Yoga or Martial Arts Sessions
With many people seeking the benefits of being in outdoors in nature as a way to reduce stress and increase feelings of well-being, consider taking the inside out by running yoga or martial arts sessions in natural, open spaces. This is a win win for all concerned, because your participants will get not only the benefits of the class, but also the benefits of spending time outside. In addition, the occasional passer-by will be intrigued and may well decide to join you for future sessions! There are lots of great options for training online for both yoga and martial arts, but it's recommended that you're already a proficient student of these practices before you train to become a teacher.
Running Club / Coach
One of the most current way people use to keep themselves fit is running. Within gyms, people will do this on treadmills however there are people that will use the old conventional way of running in the streets. People who have been doing this for a while may decide to commence their own running club where people congregate and run as a group. This could be done in various levels or distances to help accommodate all types of people. Good advertisement on social media or within the local area will help attract locals to this type of event. Small fees from each person would be given to the person who has arranged it all (and potentially provided things like illuminate vest for running in the darker nights).
