When we expect children, many of us will face a common question - are you going to focus on your family or your work? This, of course, is outdated thinking. We don’t have to choose one area of our life or another to dedicate ourselves too and neither our family life nor our professional life should be all-encompassing, taking up all of our time or effort.

But when you have kids, you will notice that your career might take a hold or a backseat for a little while when you’re raising them. The good news is, this doesn’t have to be the case. Instead, you can move your career forward at the same time as raising little ones.

A good place to start is increasing or improving your qualifications. This will take time, dedication and effort.
