With the world moving towards more flexible job positions, there are a lot of new options for stay-at-home mums.

Most of these women have a lot to offer and thanks to all of these new possibilities, they are able to show off their skills.

Here are some of the positions that would suit any stay-at-home mum:

1. Blogger
Nothing beats being your own boss and working on your own schedule – and being a blogger will give you just that. This is a creative job and the only requirement is that you share interesting and engaging content. Your passions along with a few tricks and skills that you can learn as you go will provide you with a great possibility of earning money. Simply connect your blog to Google Adsense or share Affiliate links from Amazon.
Some of the platforms that you can use for blogging are Blogger and WordPress – many of the most popular blogs like My Writing Way, UK Writings, Studydemic and Academadvisor were started this way. Another way to go is to create a blog on Huff Post and earn money with each click.

2. Freelance writer
Freelance writing is a good opportunity for every mum out there since it doesn’t come with a lot of requirements. While in some cases, those who are most talented in this area will thrive – like with ghostwriting or any other kind of creative writing – simple content creation can be done by anyone willing to do the research.
You can find plenty of freelance writing jobs on popular platforms like UpWork. For more creative types, there are platforms like Fic Fun where you can share your novels or stories and get paid to do it. You can even start your own freelance writer website and cold-pitch clients.

3. Tutor
Tutoring is both fun and rewarding in so many ways. Those who have special skills in areas that are currently in demand can, for example, work for platforms like Academized. But the great thing is, you don’t really need to have any skills to become a tutor since English tutoring is always in high demand and many platforms prefer native English speakers. You can set your own schedule and earn a lot of money this way.

4. Law enforcement transcriptionist
If you are looking for a flexible and well-paid job, you’ll probably love this option. The only requirement is that you can type quickly and that you can do a certain amount of tapes within a given timeframe. Transcriptionists get paid by an audio hour and the more tapes you take on, the more you’ll earn.
You can do this job on platforms like Transcribe Anywhere or Transcribe Me.

5. Online editor
This is another flexible job that you can do and earn a lot of money. Online editors are well-paid and the only requirement is that you speak English and have some understanding of style in writing – both academic and creative. Sites like AustralianHelp and EliteAssignmentHelp are always in demand of great editors and they can give you a steady flow of work.

6. Consultant or a direct salesperson
You’ve probably heard of Mary Kay or Rodan+Fields. Both of these companies arrange the sales of their products by delegating it to direct salespersons or consultants. Everything can be done over the phone and it’s a blessing for mothers with toddlers who already have a busy schedule and can’t afford to spend much time on their computer.
You can apply through their websites directly – some other companies that you can work for are Avon or Stella & Dot.

7. Online reviewer
To become an online reviewer you don’t need to have any special skills – you only have to do a lot of research or already have some knowledge on the products and services that you are reviewing. You can find such jobs on Revieweal or UK Top Writers.

8. Virtual assistant
Virtual assistants are in high demand right now and this job position – depending on the employer – requires a certain skillset. While some jobs are mostly about email sending and contacting clients, others will need you to post and edit blogs for them, create documents, make certain arrangements etc. There is no end to the possibilities in the world of virtual assistants. It’s paid by the hour and you and you can get this jobs on platforms like Flex Jobs or People Per Hour.

9. Academic writer
Academic writers create essays or any other kind of papers for students or websites worldwide. This is a fairly easy job and while in some cases companies require that you have a degree, some will only need you to do a thorough research before writing. This job is always fun since you learn a lot of things as you go and it’s paid by the project. Some of the platforms that you can work on are Boom Essays or Essayroo.

10. Website tester
The job of a website tester is quite simple – you go through options on websites, do the required tasks and film yourself while you do it so that the owners of those websites can see your honest opinion. This way they get to fix whatever issues exist on their website and you get to earn as much as $25 per test that lasts about 20 minutes or less.

Conclusion
Flexible, remote job positions are perfect for stay-at-home mums – they give you time to devote to your children and enough money so that you don’t have to worry. While some of these jobs require no specific skillset, most of them do and it’s an excellent opportunity to assess your skills and learn some new ones. If you’re starting your own business rather than working for a company, consider investing in branded merchandise to keep your advertising costs low.

You could try Upwork and fiverr. They are the best for freelance work. You could also search on sites like gumtree, glassdoor etc for remote jobs with flexible hours.
