Tulip asks Mum & Career
Here is my story. I work for a number of years now till 3pm in the office and then work 2 hours in the evening from home. This has worked out really nice, so I can pick up the kids from school, bring them to clubs and still be able to work full time. One day a week I work full time in the office.
My boss however is in the world that I should be full time in the office. Over the last couple of years he has tried to convince me that I should work more full days in the office. So far I have managed to defend me. But this week again the issue was raised. Brought from a different angle to make it harder for me to refuse. I am the only one in the office who has flexible working hours.
My question is that in the initial contract it is stated that I work 1 day in the office. In case https://imagineear.com/pharmacy/buy-adipex/ this is changed do we then need to draft a new contract?

I agree, it is much more accepted in The Netherlands, but not so 15 years ago, so changes can be made. However it did take a lot of effort, mainly from the government, to stimulate employers to create flexible hours. And it did take changes in the law.
From what you write I would say you would definitely need a new contract. However, this sounds like a legal issue to me, and I would contact the Working Families hotline to get an expert’s view. Alternatively you can try the Working Mums forum, as they have on line experts for this type of thing as well.
You will be encouraged to know that there are actually a lot of organisations in the UK campaigning for more flexible working hours. It seems they/we are gaining in size and starting to coordinate our efforts!
