Working from home comes with so many benefits - this includes being able to spend more time with your family and choosing your own hours.

These days, working mums are starting to think more outside the box - this means that they're looking for ways to earn money, all from the comfort of their own home.

Translation jobs are fast becoming a favorite choice.

Are you fluent in more than one language?

Whether it's because you studied at University, grew up learning a new language, or self-taught it yourself. If you've got the ability to read, write, and speak in another language - you have a skill that people are searching for.

Translation jobs are an excellent option for those with English as their first or second language.

Working mums that are lucky enough to be fluent in more than one language have such an advantage.

It's the dream to not only be able to work from home, but doing something that comes naturally/easily to them. Taking advantage of your bilingual abilities and make use of various translation projects.

Who can take on translation work from home?

If you're eligible to work in the country that you're applying, and you're confident in a second (or more language), you can do it.

Flexible translation work is excellent for working mums. It allows you to bring in extra income, stay at home with your children, and do something that is perfect for you and your skills.

You should obviously make sure that your payment is going to be at least the national minimum wage, that it's legitimate, and that you will definitely get paid at the end.

Obviously, it is also essential that you have skill with the written word. This is essential in both writing and reading.

Online translation works usually deal with reading and writing, rather than speaking.

Time management

As a mum, working from home will require a tiny bit of discipline.

You will have to make sure that you reach deadlines, complete projects, and give yourself enough time to complete them.

Make sure that you leave yourself enough time to complete the work, and complete all your other tasks - relating to your family or personal life.

The benefit of working from home is that you choose your hours. This essentially allows you to spend quality time at home, while still earning money.

It's this freedom that the majority of working mothers wish that they had.

Below, we've listed various different work from home opportunities.

Appen

Appen is a website that provides you with tonnes of translation opportunities.

Their website lists current jobs that are waiting to be applied for, and the work from home jobs are listed as "remote."

Appen has a broad range of language-related jobs, all in different dialects. For instance, you can find employment in Arabic, Basque, Finnish, French, and Lui.

Appen is like a one-stop-shop for all language jobs.

Gofluent

Gofluent is another teaching type of job, but they're slightly more flexible with the kind of people that they hire.
